Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of the burning desire to let it spread its fire all around to end every bit of ignorance. It is the quality of great grit and determination that has paved my path towards the point of success that every Mapian has reached so far. School has the responsibility to filter the orthodox and instill human values on small impressionable minds and everyone has a unique personality that needs to be nurtured and channelized towards the desired goal. Since the beginning, it has been our constant endeavor to motivate the children to do their best with their instinctive desire and leave their golden footprints for the others to follow. Scaling new heights with constant zeal and enthusiasm is the ultimate goal of every Mapian in action. It is a real fact that the same person cannot be skilled in everything rather each has a special excellence to show its vibrance. Keeping this in mind we have been striving hard to ignite the spirit of physical endurance and a good deal of brains in our students to let them gain a higher esteem with every step ahead.

Learning must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence, this is the key of making knowledge a power. Everyday something is added and that addition is made fruitful through the constant evaluation and shake ups. Imbibing in the children the fact that anything they see , they can be, is the real art of teaching. Self direction in the learning occurs with our teachers who always have a basic trust in the capacity of our students for developing their own personality.

School is not only the center of learning rather it encompasses a strong bond between the faculty members and the parents of the children. Hence, our job is to turn the sensitive, impulsive, associative and reactive organism that is the child into a purposeful, shining adult who will use his talents to the fullest in the struggle for a better life; where he can exercise his inner freedom with self initiated action and acceptance of responsibility for his actions, self direction and intelligent decision making, critical learning, self evaluation acquisition of knowledge for resolution of problems, intelligent and flexible adaptation to new situations, creative utilization of experimental learning in adaption to new situations, effective co-operation with others, self motivation and a desire to work of his own purpose. So MAPS has always been a guiding force for the mothers to let them know the fact that happiest children are the outcome of heartiest mothers who act as a pillar of strength for them in all odds.

Children are never robbed of their independence rather always encouraged to gather the complete advantage of that under strict rules and regulation because we believe that whenever we seek to control or own a child, the child is lost forever. The children are left at their own possessions as this is considered as its basics on which depends his behaviour, health and sanity. Children are made to feel, able to be competent because only so long as they are permitted to contribute as much as more than they have contributed to themselves. Here at MAPS, the teachers are matured enough with integrity and knowledge. They concentrate on creating a class room environment which is very conducive to facilitate learning and foster freedom.

Teachers here at MAPS value each individual student as a developing human being with many feelings and many potentialities accepting feelings of fear for new problems and satisfaction with each new achievement. This tendency makes them sparkle like jewels and converge out is the best of all. Any information is considered to be valuable to the degree that one can use it so a plethora of activity based learning, visual based learning and practical learning is imparted to let the children utilize their potential to the maximum and too in the desired arena. No data is provided as a substitute to think, children are instilled with the habit of using the data to think with. This widens their acquired knowledge and provides a quantum of energy to flourish and reach the height. Insecurity is the product of lack of knowledge, so a sense of security is inculcated in the immature minds to make them feel suitable to the ever changing world. The fundamentals of the behaviour are the most important ingredients for success to be achieved and the same is imbibed through the faculty members. The greatest ability of differentiation is instilled to let the thoughts spread their vibrance and see the practicality of the situation. I never believe in controlling the situation or temperament rather believe that anatomy of control lies in start and change the existing scenario and the wonders would be created. Children have an excellent ability to determine the course of their life which ultimately depends on their ability to exercise their power of choice. Self determination is the factor that can lead the path for eternal joy and happiness. As inefficiency is the major barrier in the accomplishment of the goal, so every care is taken to enhance the efficiency to the maximum and the highest.

We keep some key factors in our mind that are essential to the holistic approach to education. First children need to learn about themselves. This involves learning self respect and self esteem. Second children need to learn about relationships. In learning about them relationship with others, there is a focus on social influence and emotional literacy i.e. one’s ownself in relation to others. Third, children need to learn about resilience. This entails overcoming difficulties, facing challenges and learning how to ensure long term success. Fourth, children need to learn about aestheties. This encourages the student to see the beauty of what is around them and learn to have awe in life. In designing a curriculum for transdisciplinary studies, we always look for relationships and patterns in different subjects and organize the subject matter according to unifying themes. Our aim is not to make the child understand and still less to force him to memorize, but so to touch his imagination as to enthuse him to his inmost love ………. We seek to help the child in his growth, mental, emotional , physical as well as spiritual. Practices of transpersonal psychology and transpersonal therapy are applied to the practical aspects of curriculum planning in education. Education for the needs of each individual, human organism fosters growth and result in vision and wisdom.

Every characteristics features can behold in itself a number of ingredients that provide an over all assessment of the individual. No accomplishment is said to be complete unless supplemented with wide range of activities. The academician at MAPS emphasis on imparting education through varied sources that leave an everlasting impact on the child’s mind. Mount Abu Public School, Rohini has ten world class laboratories that are equipped with the latest and most modern facilities. Each year, some old labs are renovated with new furnishings and equipments while some new labs are added to the school infrastructure, all in a continuous drive to keep MAPS at the fore front of new and emerging technologies in every single field.
Maps has three computer laboratories, most of which have been furnished with brand new computers. The latest technological development. ‘The smart class’ is exercised in the class rooms to make the children techno – savy and wider their future prospects. Visual aid learning of course provides the children with delightful experience that leaves a strong impact on the small minds and help them to recollect the same.

The MAPS Rohini SMART CLASSROOM Technology is a world class technology enabled teaching tool in special classrooms are equipped with multi display monitors and big screen plasma TVs and a PC for the teachers, which are digitally connected to the Knowledge Centre. Through the knowledge centre excellent teaching resources such as animation clips, videos, pictures, diagrams and working models etc are brought straight in the class room. Classroom with a smart class provides a conducive atmosphere for the children to grasp the knowledge and helps them to retain the same. True academicians never stop learning, so is the motto of every member of the teaching fraternity at MAPS, constantly stirring the minds to produce the desired product, is the constant endeavor of every Mapian at work. Excellence in different competitions at the State, Zonal & District level is the clear index of the hard effort that every Mapians put forward with complete zest.

The Language Development Programme at MAPS supports students whose learning styles have created barriers to academic progress and also to remove accents and any hesitation that the child may have in speaking a language. This programme is designed to help them to develop awareness of how they learn, improve their language skills and help them internalize the study routines that facilitates the learning process. The school offers English, Hindi, Sanskrit and French as taught languages.

The classical ideal of a Sound mind in a sound body remains very much the guiding principal at MAPS, Rohini. We believe that ‘sports’ is a very important activity for instilling the confidence to accomplish in children. The school is in constant touch with outside agencies for training and orientations. That is why we have exceedingly well developed infrastructure for sports and encourage and give opportunities to the children not just to enjoy sports but to excel in it.
The MAPS Cricket academy is a pride for the students in Rohini and Pitampura regions. Some of the sports facilities are available here are Basketball, Bolleyball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Hockey, Athelities, Martial Arts, Yoga and most importantly cricket.

A number of academies are run by the experts who share their secrets with the young players and guide them through all thick and thins. The wining of laurels clearly shows how a bud can flourish and spread its fragrance, to make the garden, a prosperous one. The secret behind the achievements is the constant hard work, interest and enthusiasm that guide their spirit of competitiveness and paves their path for ultimate success. For every Mapians “Success is the some of small efforts, repeated day in and day out”. The children are imbibed with the value that the man who has the largest capacity for work and thought can become the man who is bound to succeed. They are strictly guided about the fact that the only place where success comes before work is the dictionary, this fuels their spirits to work harder and harder and ultimately come out with trophies, laurels is their hands. Sport stars of the Maps always bear in mind that adversity causes some men to break, but others to break records and the greatest example is the grand performance in CBSE Kho – Kho Tournament whereby the players showed their passion and instilled desire for the game.

Round the year, students are actively involved in Inter House, Inter School and Inter Zone sports & cultural competitions. Our students have regularly won coveted positions at the Zonal to National level and even represented India in International Cricket meets. To further reinforce our belief in a ‘Sound mind in a sound body’, we have gone the extra step of allotting regular periods for learning and practising yoga and meditation. These age old and extremely beneficial wellness activities are excellent for keeping the body, mind and soul in a perfect balance.

The hungry world cannot be fed untill and unless the growth of its resources with which the growth of the society comes are in balance and this balance is made by imbibing sense of being techno savy. Big laboratories for computer learning are running in MAPS that are well equipped to make the children computer volunteers at par with the modern trendy world. Keeping this in mind, that it has become appalling, that our technology has exceeded our humanity, the children are always made to get set to face the challenges and obstacles and step forward with a giant leap. We believe that one who does not move forward always tend to fall backwards, progress is impossible without change and those who cannot change their minds cannot do anything to achieve their target. So children at MAPS seldom encounter any doubt because they strongly believe that doubt can only be removed through actions which ultimately result in fruitfull completion of the task. Advancement only comes with the habitual doing, so MAPians always update themselves to counter any of the hurdles in their way. Computer knowledge is a power which controls access to opportunity and hence towards advancement.

Children are taught to appreciate music and dance by a team of dedicated and talented teachers of melody and rhythm. The fundamentals of various dance forms are also taught to students who have a passion towards dancing by Indian & Western dance teachers. Students of MAPS participated at National Level Dance competition and showed their brilliant performance which is an index of their talent, enthusiasm and consistent efforts.

To surface the artistic appetite of the young creators, painters and craftsmen, the school building has in itself a spacious art and craft work station. The children are encouraged to create their own colourful interpretations of what they see around them. Under the able guidance of the Art and Craft teachers, the children undertake many funfilled projects involving cutting, pasting, drawing and colouring which are displayed in especially designed display windows for appreciation and encouragement.

Self study and reading are important skills towards developing the habit of life long learning which is an indispensable tool for future careers. For this purpose, a well equipped and stocked library with different typed of books, magazines, periodicals and newspaper is available. Every child is inspired and encouraged to go to the library during library periods as well as in free time. A qualified librarian is appointed to maintain the library. The school aims at rendering the manual library to digital one very soon.

Nature provides a free lunch but only for those who have control on their appetites. Every member of the Maps is an earth warrior who considers earth as a commodity for us. So the members of Eco Club of Mount Abu strive hard to strengthen the idea of green school to make one feel optimistic for a bright future thus letting everyone taste the sweetness and respecting the seniority of the green planet, the Earth. In an effort to disseminate the eco friendly approach and end to pass the message among all, the school has setup a Herbal Garden thus awakening the students about the importance of herbs and their products in our humdrum life. It is insufferable arrogance of human beings that make them think that the Earth is solely for their benefit and this statement is clearly counted by the Eco Club members of the school who never leave any stone unturned to let the Earth breath because everyone has to abide by the rules of nature rather than trying to dominate.
Changingness, a reliance on progress rather than upon static knowledge is the only thing that makes sense as a goal for education in the modern world……… It is not so important which facts are taught as then could become obsolete even before the students have learned them. The period of schooling should be a period of natural learning ………. Process for preparation of life as an adult human being.
